- I have to agree here, AMIGA's *are* relatively expensive for the higher models
- , but for the operating sytem and several coPROCESSORS and low memory usage
- (I'm literally swimming in my 18M of ram), etc., etc., I'd rather be without
- the superficial clone 'prettyness'!!!
-
- I, myself, would rather be running 2 tins for downloading binaries, a mail
- checker, a mail reader, alynx for stable web use(you most likely only want
- actual information anyways, unless you are new to computers and still are
- getting thrilled at all the pretty graphics), an ftp session or two, a
- 'spur of the moment' tin session(for reading the AMIGA only newsgroups),
- AND yet another tin session for the non-amiga newsgroups ****ALL AT THE
- SAME TIME!!!!!!!!**** AND I have gone about 15 *hours* without a
- crash(my provider normally crashes before my machine does!)
-
-
- I ALWAYS have something to do, and then some! :)
-
- And, as hfrieden@fix.uni-trier.de (Hans-Joerg Frieden) said a while back,
- THIS ENTIRE THREAD BELONGS IN 'ADVOCACY'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-
- I have NO idea!?!? Something that helps break the clone's 640K barrier?
- Something that makes windows'95 behave more like AmigaOS-'85?? Is it
- simply to help clone machines remember things? Is it an insurance plan
- to help cloned people from forgetting how to use their computer???????
- Who in the hell knows? I'll just stick with my trusty ol' AMIGA and
- an emulator running Windoze(AMIGA'85). I don't own an emulator YET,
- but in the future I will probably have to downgrade for school :(. I'm
- majoring in computer science, so I have to get to know the history at
- sometime in the future.
-
- BTW, if **ANYONE** can help me in my situation of deciding what to do
- with my AMIGA lifestyle, I would be VERY gratefull!!
-
- SERIOUSLY!-- what job can a person who despises clones get in the
- world(and I would be more than happy to get out of this over-religious,
- Christian Coalition ruled country -- you guessed it, the U.nited S.aints
- of A.nti-freedom)
